Materials

The beauty of an Elegant Collar is that it can be tailored to your individual style and preferences. Your Elegant Collar can be made of 14k Gold-Filled, Sterling Silver, Copper, Bronze, Gold or Silver Plated rings (although not recommended because the plating wears off quickly), or even from a variety of colored aluminum, niobium or titanium rings. It can be made of a single precious metal or multiple types. Below is a sampling of the available materials.

	Sterling Silver Ring
	Gold Filled Ring Gold Fill is a tube of 14k gold filled with hard brass. It is a reasonably priced alternative to 10k or 14k gold and the gold layer is very unlikely to wear off with normal use.
	Black Niobium Rings Niobium is strong, corrosion resistant and hypo-allergenic. The Anodized colors are beautifully vibrant. The raw color is dark silver/grey.
	Colored Niobium Rings Niobium is strong, corrosion resistant and hypo-allergenic. The Anodized colors are beautifully vibrant. The raw color is dark silver/grey.
	Titanium Rings Titanium is a very light, strong and very corrosion resistant metal with a light gray finish. Anodized colors are lovely but the colors vary. The color variation is an attractive feature, but if you want consistent color, use anodized aluminum or niobium.
	Copper Rings I love the look of shiny copper, and it is a joy to work with this hard but pliable material. However, copper needs almost daily care to maintain its lovely color. The discriminating Dom or Master can make polishing of the collar part of the submissive's or slave's daily routine.

Bronze Rings

Bronze is a lovely dark gold-ish color and is an incredibly hard material. It takes extra effort to build a chain of bronze, but the results are well worth it.

Colored Aluminum Rings.

Aluminum is very lightweight but still quite durable. The colored coating is fairly hard but can still be scratched with steel. It needs very little care to maintain it's color and shine.
